well, i really do feel that zappa was a great composer, and his music means as much to me as ives' does. it excites me. when i listen to "putnam's camp, redding conecticut" from the "three places in new england, i'm on the edge my seat, even though i know exactly what's gonna happen. the same happens when i listen to "pygmy twilight" or "montana" or "be-bop tango." and ives' song "in the mornin'" kills me as does zappa's "it must be a camel" from "hot rats." so, yeah, he's one of my faves.

Zappa is great! If I had more time I would listen more. 'Yellow Shark' is very original.

tough choice...

#1: Beethoven
#2: Mozart
#3: Bach
#4: Johannes Brahms (not really Classical, but oh well)
#5: Chopin

I tend to listen to more of the more "commercialized" and well-known classical artists.... I should really list to more variety

Bach isn't really "Classical" either, but we're all cool with using the term as a catch-all for all the periods.
