Yeah I realize I'd be taking a risk and with that reason I don't think I'd do it without at least hearing it first. I am becoming more interested in that Big Muff, $80 doesn't seem like too outrageous a price. I am really interested in one of the FY-2's especially after hearing it live its just what I want, but those are probably gonna be a lot of money. There is one on ebay right now but the last one this guy sold went for $250, ouch.

Mpittman, Damn I wish I had $300 to shell out but with that I'd probably buy an acoustic bass and a pedal.

I've got a big muff and its really cool. I've gotten some phatty/distorted/wicked sounds on a bass with it.

Hmm I didn't think it was that uncommon. My bassist does it all the time.. so does the bassist in a band we are mates with.
