Country music

I find it hard finding new and good country to listen to. Either people think country sucks and that's all they have to say or it's really cheesy coutry. Can anyone help me?

Depends on what you like. Some bands I like that can be linked to country are The Higwaymen (Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings & Kris Kristofferson), Tony Joe White, Sixteen Horsepower, Grayson Capps, Townes van Zandt, Robert Earl Keen & Willard Grant Conspiracy
Listened to Bruce Springsteen with Waitin' on a sunny day

Are you asking for recommendations from current musicians, or just in general?

Cool thanks, I haven't seen most of them anywhere before.

Well, some country has that edge that made it just as rebel as rock n' roll. That's the Johnny Cash equation. Add Willie Nelson (but I'm certain you're familiar with their music).
Some of it has great storytelling. That's the Marty Robbins equation.
And then some of it has beautiful crooning. That's the Jim Reeves equation.

Johnny Cash recordings that I highly recommend.

At Folsom Prison

Beside those already mentioned:

Old School:

Hank Williams
Patsy Cline
Chet Atkins *
Merle Travis *
Roy Acuff
Eddy Arnold
Loretta Lynn
George Jones
Lefty Frizzell
Buck Owens

* Two of the incredible guitar players, as well.

Because you suggested this one, I'll take it he's the best. But are the other two worth listening to? I mean Jr. and III (I think they're two never been to familiar with that whole system).

Hank Williams is DA MAN!

His son and grandson have their moments. Before finally deciding to cash in on the name, III played drums in a hardcore punk band.

Now he trys to combine elements from both together. For his live shows, he will perform both styles of genres with two different bands.

It's interesting seeing the people he attracts to his shows. On one hand, there will be people that you would normally see line dancing at a honky tonk bar, and on the other hand, those with a Mohawk and other stereotypes.

Hank "Tear in my Beer" Williams was fantastic. The other two - especially "Are You Ready For Some Football?!?!" Junior - are far less interesting/talented.

Good call on Mr Nashville Sound, Satch.
