Steve Marcus
Any other Steve Marcus fans around here?
I love his debut album... He had an interesting career (from ground breaking experimental artist to fronting Buddy Rich's traditional touring band)...

Steve Marcus
I haven't listened to any of His albums yet, but have been a fan of his since he first played in the BR Band back in 1975 (Big Band Machine). I first saw him in 1976 at the Concord Jazz Festival (Concord, CA) with Buddy's band that also had Bob Mintzer on the other tenor sax. I last saw him with Buddy's band in 1986 at The Great American Music Hall (San Francisco, CA). I have "live" photos of him from 1976 and from 1985 & 1986. I just read about his death today. I didn't know he died in 2005.
