Lightbulb New Instrumental thread

Hi there,
I'm a bit new here, but my question is:
Does anyone know any instrumental rock artists, prefebrabely guitarists. I am familiar with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Eric Johnson, John Petrucci. If you know other instrumental guitarists, please tell me, because i'm a little tired of Joe and Steve

Greetings, G.

If you prefer guitarplayers above 'effectpedalplayers': Django Reinhardt

Also try Dick Dale and early Shadows-stuff(Hank Marvin). Make sure it's just The Shadows, I remind backing up some british fag.

I think i'm more into effectpedalplayers =P. I'm not really that fond of acoustic instrumental, even though it can be very nice, at the right moment ofcourse.

I tried Dick Dale and the Shadows-stuff..
It isn't my cup of tea, i'm more into stuff like Joe Satriani and so on. The more, uhm, 'modern' type of instrumental rock. You'll know what I mean if you have seen a G3 tour of Joe and Steve

Yours,

Where's Seerix? I'm pretty sure that he likes that G3 tour movie, almost as much as he likes KISS.

I personally like Harvey Mandel a lot. His classic Cristo Redentor is an all-time favorite.

Django Reinhardt doesn't really have anything to do with Rock. If we are getting into Jazz there is a whole bunch of things to be checked out before you start with Django Reinhardt imo.

If were talking more the genre of Satriana, Vai, etc, you should check out Jeff Becks Wired or Blow by Blow.

That's probably one of the worst things I've ever read.

There's a good list below of sites that have an abundance of what you are looking for. A couple of albums that I enjoy are . . ..

Warren Cuccurullo - Thanks to Frank
Bozzio, Levin, Stevens - Black Light Syndrome
Bumblefoot - 9.11

Hey Mr GooZe,

Do you have any instrumentals of Hank Marvin? I'm trying to download as much of him as possible, but i'm havin a hard time getting them downloaded. If you have Hotel California at your pc could you send it to me in an email?
Thank you very much.

P.S. Is it possible to add you to my contacts at Messenger? Maybe you have some other ideas, or just some things you'd like to share with me..
