I got Masotodons new cd about a week and a half ago and i can't put it down. Even though it isn't as metal as leviathon and remission i still find myself liking it equal if not better than the rest of them. I was just wondering if i was the only one or not so leave me a comment

Apart from the awesome drumming and some real good songs in Remission(March of the Fire Ants, Crusher Destroyer) there isn't much I like about the band. And I didn't care much about Leviathan and so I've not checked it out yet.

that sucks that you don't like them well if it was the vocals you still might wanna check it out cause they changed there vocal style a lot the guitar has gotten better with more solo and lead in the songs. The drummin is just pure bad ass on each albulm so it hasn't change much

I wasn't a big fan of Mastodon before this album. Blood Mountain is ridiculously good. It's so much more dynamic than anything I would've expected, and it's got so much energy. It's a pretty varied album, too. I love the hell out of it, and recommend it to people that dislike Mastodon's previous efforts, strictly because I didn't like 'em much, either.

So far, from what I have heard, it is quite strong. They've cleaned the production up a little without making a nu-metal wall of sound in the process. So far, so good...a pretty consistent listen. Don't have any favorites as of yet.
