Bawlers is the best indeed, but the other two are pretty neat too. I don't agree about "The Road to Peace", I like it how he pronounces those Arabian names, too bad it's always the same two ones. "Dog Door" is perhaps the worst song on the compilation. It's actually a Sparklehorse song and I love Sparklehorse and I love Waits, but they don't go well together apparently. What other cd's did you hear btw? I don't hear much unevenness on his cd's, but then I'm a pretty big fan, so I'm not really objective probably...

I don`t know which CD it was actually. It was just left inside the pizza car on work, and I started listening to it. It was very theatrical at first, but then it became a bit stale, at least in comparison with the first songs.

Not all, yet.

A quick run down of album would bring up a list like:
Small Change
Rain Dogs
Swordfishtrombones
Real Gone
Bone Machine
The Heart of Saturday Night
Blue Valentine
Orphans
Nighthawks at the Diner
Mule Variations
Blood Money
Closing Time
Alice
Big Time (heard a few times only)
Frank's Wild Years (heard a few times only)
Foreign Affairs

although there isn't one that I really don't like...

Haven't heard yet:
The Black Rider
Night on Earth
One from the Heart
Heartattack and Vine

That`s a long list! I`ll have something to pick from when I feel like getting some more from him.

Godt Nytt År!
