Jazz Funk
Alright, Theres a local radio show where I live in florida, from 12-1pm they play jazz funk stuff and its great!!! Ive always liked this kind of stuff but just never knew the name of genre. My favorite stuff is what seems to be older stuff, it sounds like around the 1950's- 1970's. I was just wondeirng if anyone knew what Im talking about here. And if so, could anyone give me some good older jazz funk artists?
Dave

Miles Davis is all you need, brother. I don't know if it's what they've been playing on your station, but for me, when it comes to jazz funk, there's Miles, then some blank space, then everything else. Try these albums:
Bitches Brew
In A Silent Way
A Tribute To Jack Johnson
Live at the Cellar Door
Agharta
There are more, if needed.

Bitches Brew is a little dark for me. Although, it is an absolutely amazing album in terms or setting standards and an amazing innovative use of effects and creating effects!
Ill try the other ones!
