Stand Alone, NOT by Godsmack

It is a song that I am pretty sure is a small-time, lesser-known band, except the thing is, I don't know what the band's name is, or even if the file name of the song is correct. I don't know how long I have had the file or how old the song is. I found it in one of the folders I normally don't look in.

So, I figured I'd post in here to see if anyone can help me. The filename is Stand_Alone.mp3 and there is no other information than that other than the fact it:

*is 3:58 min long,
*sung by a male or males,
*and reminds my friends of Sting and/or Keane or other bands such like those, even though it isn't them.

I have googled practically every single lyric combination, including the supposed title "stand alone". Nothing came up, except for bands and lyrics that it clearly is not.

The lyrics (at least as good as my hearing is) are as follows:

[guitar intro]
Verse 1
"I watch the skies and I think of [her? home?]
A sense of solace as I stand alone
How can I reveal all the pain I'm feeling,
far away from you, life is unforgiving.

Verse 2
"A broken heart and a clouded [field? view?]
The times [apart] that make me think of you
Can you understand all the pain i'm feeling?
When I'm not with you, life is not worth living.

Chorus
"Suddenly the words are spoken,
Never is a promise broken.
Can I be sensing, no questions pending,
Never asking why?

[guitar instrumental like intro, with drums]

Repeat V. 2 and Chorus

Chorus

[deeper, more electrical guitar instrumental]

Chorus"

If anyone would me to send them the song so that they can hear, let me know. My email is: horsemistress@hotmail.com. I have been stumped on this for a week and none of my friends know and now everyone wants to know, too, because they are just as stumped as me.

Thanks!
