There's a bar way up in Michigan, so far northwest that most of its patrons are fucking
Packers fans. Their jukebox was a country jukebox, except for 3 CD's:
Changesbowie, Police's
Singles compilation, and Metallica's
And Justice For All. About 15 years ago we went in there and I put on a few Bowie cuts while the girl we were with put on "Dyer's Eve"...7 times in a row.
They unplugged the jukebox on the 3rd runthrough, gave her a dollar, and told us to finish our beers and go somewhere else.
I got no problem with 80's metal, myself, or bands that are called that. I'll put the best 80's metal/thrash albums up against the best metal/thrash albums
since then. And honestly...I am really not sure how much worse Poison really was than say, Linkin Park is now.
Dragonforce would have been every bit a joke back then as they are now, with the difference being that we weren't yet jaded on shredding yet.
