Dewey Redman, R.I.P.
Jazz great Dewey Redman died on Sept. 2nd. He was 75.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...090501401.html
The article made a mistake about Julius Hemphill being in the same school marching band with Dewey, Ornette, and Charles Moffett. Julius Hemphill would go to the same school, but he was 9 to 10 years younger than the others.
It was Prince Lasha, who was in the marching band with the others.
Dewey Redman May 17, 1931 - Sept. 2, 2006

R.I.P.
Considered seeing him during the SF Jazz Spring Season, but really was spending a lot already on that season. Now I wish I had gone, too bad.

Satch, this is just a spambot fishing for e-mails. If you send something to that adress then your e-mail adress is regarded as active and you'll just recieve a lot of spam.
