Dresch Dudás Mihály Quartet: Zeng A Lelek

Awesome folk-Jazz from Hungary.

1. Is that actually possible for you?

2. You will like the new Riverside recording.

3. YO! on this quartet.

4. You do know there is a Coltrane birthday broadcast going on, right?

Given the fact that I can't connect to the broadcast, I decided to join on my own.

Guess it turned into a pretty swingin' night.

Weather Report - Mysterious Traveller

Fusion done well. Things got a little iffy after this one, but I'll take iffy Weather Report over the predictable pablum served up by so many fusion artists since.

The Bad Plus - Prog

They're latest. I was pumped (they titled it Prog!), but I'm not getting into it. Too cold and calculating? Too cerebral? It may have some cool changes but man, can the music get annoying. Come to think of it, I find plenty of prog annoying, too. So, truth in advertising, I guess.

One of his very rare non-coma inducing recordings.
