You really think, it's the first time the Ganelin Trio or Leo Records has been mentioned?

No, I actually mentioned it before myself and I noticed it on another thread as well.

Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus
Got it last night for $9.99 at Tower Records. Seemed like a good deal.

Tower's is going under.
You're in L.A. now, and from what I recall.... Amoeba isn't far from you. Although, you might not know about Amoeba since it wasn't around when you lived there last, I believe.

Yeah, I know about it...just haven't gone there, yet.
Me and Pops were talking about Tower...how people seem to stop going there just because they hear the negative news. Still some great deals.
Buy four CDs and get the fifth (and cheapest) one free.

1. I would have thought that would have been the first music store, you would have hit.
2. Great deals now, because they need the money. They reason they're in this mess is because Towers prices were so absurd for the younger people who make up the majority of their buyers. In these days of the internet.....

Yeah, the only reason I ever go to Tower is for their $6.99 bin. I've bought plenty of classic albums out of there, but there're rarely any good deals elsewhere in the store. It's also conviently placed right next to Guitar Center. Might check them out more often now that they're going under.

I'm thinking of heading down to Amoeba. Wanted to hit the library anyway.
Guitar Center? Yikes! Have you been to Norm's Rare Guiars?
Maybe I can get one of those Super Reverb amps now that I'm here.
I think I need three more Strats all with different pickups...a Telecaster...SG...Firebird...

Sorry...I meant to say I'm listening to Misterioso by Monk. Y'know, the K2 recording I just opened for the first time.

I see you were one of the people who got there before I did, so it was sold out by the time I ordered.
Guitar Center is pretty much the only worthwhile music store around here. I actually don't go there (or to any music equipment stores) to buy stuff, I just like trying out the different drum/percussion sets they have; since they have the widest selection (if not the best and best-priced), they're the best place to go, for me. I do get new sticks, when I need them.
As for Amoeba.......well, you should see it for yourself. From what I hear, yours is by far the best, and the ones up here are pretty good.
