For those keeping track at home....Nov. 25th was the 36th Anniversary that Ayler's body was found in New York City's East River.

That's kinda weird, I bought Spritual Unity only a few days before that, with no knowledge about the anniversary. Rest in Peace, Albert Ayler.

I'd listened to it a few times, but no, I hadn't bought it. I'm aware it's a classic album, but with 10 discs of Ayler that I knew I hadn't exactly worn out with listening, more wasn't at the top of the priority list. Plus, I'm extremely cheap when buying CDs, and don't usually pay more than $10 for a single disc. But hey, the long wait makes the arrival that much better, right?
