Okay, Nuray. What about Arab music?

Really trying to avoid stuff like this!

Sb sounds like a pretty funny band.

Hmmm...I don't know. The Turkish music was along the right track. There's no, like, progressive-folk-experimental music from Iraq or Yemen or something?

Is it illegal not to use a cheesy drum machine if you're an Arab? Since I don't understand the language...the music has to be interesting.

It's like, wanting to find cool Mexican music (which is hard enough) and getting Ricki Martin...which is just bad American pop music with the lyrics in Spanish...

I went to the Secret Chiefs 3 myspace page and found this:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=36437508

From Afghanistan of all places!

I don't really need the distorted guitars and stuff...just something authentic and lively.

I'm not sure that the metal thing really works that well with what Al Qaynah is doing, but at least it has some BALLS.

...and when people ask me where I got all this cool Turkish music from, I can say "a little birdie told me!"
