1. While the English word Hell comes from the Norse Goddess Hel (which is also the name of her realm ) the concept of Hell was around long before Norse mythology. Hel in Norse mythology is a extremely cold place.

Also according to Norse mythology....only those in the "nine worlds" who do not die gloriously in battle but of sickness or of old age went to Hel.

I am not even going to bother with the part about people being less educated being the reason for it being Hell in English instead of Hel in one of the Scandinavian languages.


2. Unless, your talking about Christians after the time of Jesus.....God isn't called Father by everyone....and he sure wasn't called that by Jews back in what would be Jesus' time.

I was wrong about the Norse part and the spelling thing but my concept about hell seems very true that jesus never mentioned hell ever. I went to a catholic school as you can see, and all they talk about is jesus so i should know.

All they talk about in a Catholic school is Jesus? Really?


Actually, Jesus talks about Hell in one way or another a great deal according to the New Testament.

It means "One who is sent", all the prophets were sent.

Why say he is "The Messiah"?

Indeed he did do better than all the other prophets, I don't believe he was God in another form. I do not worship him, I worship God. That doesn't make me a Jew, I don't believe in Hell but I believe in a Heaven and Purgatory.

I am not gonna be any religion because truly following any religion will bore the hell out of me.

The only laws I follow in the catholic religion are the ten commandments, which were set by God.

I know about the migrations and everything and I know how Greece conquered egypt, but Greek and Latin words and some english words are similar to egyptian words.

And the bible had been mistranslated a few times. So the simplest metaphor could've been distorted. Unless you can speak Ancient Greek and read the original new testiment you can't be completely sure.

Yes that has crossed my mind, I paid attention because they forced it into me and my school was fucked up in the way that none of the teachers had the least hint of faith in the beliefs they endorsed.

So they probably taught wrong and the mind is limited to the information in reach.

So if I wasn't taught enough and never bothered to look, then it's not a crime to say what I think from what I know.
