As with the 90's, there will be some tinkering and editing.
* These are either limited edition or might as well be consiered limited edition, since it is highly unlikely label will repress anymore. In this case, Erstwhile only presses around 1000. Keep in mind, Erstwhile specializes in what is called eai aka electorinic acoustic improv.
** All recordings released by DIW might as well be considered out of print in the U.S. Soon to be Satchmo out of print.
Cecil's is on FMP and at this moment, no one is sure if the label is above ground. It's one of his best.
Evan Parker and Tony Oxley don't like each. This stems from Parker and Derek Bailey's animosity towards each other. It made it's way into their performance and infected Taylor and Barry Guy's playing.
It's basically one giant cutting contest. This is where the title Nailed comes from. It lasts a bit over 78 minutes and it's close to none stop cutting and burning.
It starts off from a slow boil, then catching fire 6 minutes into the first track. The first track alone lasts 52 minutes.
The animosity between Parker and Oxley led to this recording being left in some recording vault for 10 years. It was recorded in 1990 but wasn't released until 2000. It's the first and most likely the last time these 4 musicians will ever play together.
