Simmer down? You been drinkin' that 5-minute moonshine? You actually thought I was upset?

Different worlds is too fucking short! It's one of the best songs on the album.
These colours don't run has a retarded title imo. The drumming is cool though. It don't seem that original regardless.
Brighter than a thousand suns sounds like something from Metallica. The rhytym, not the vocals
The pilgrim has like a gaelic intro and outro. A good thrashy sound throughout methinks.
The longest day has a killer bass intro. The drumming is awesome as well. The best song on the album!
Out of the shadows is a cool heavy ballad. It's hard to explain besides being different.
The reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg has a very loong intro. Other than that it has a interesting rhythm.
For the greater good of God is not that original, except for the gaelic chorus.
Lord of Light reminds me of old Maiden. :banger: Makes me think of 'Where Eagles Dare' at times.
The legacy has a doom metal vibe. Brings to mind Black Sabbath Dio era.

This would explain why you've given them a free pass for so long. Mine stopped halfway through "Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter."

No, I was just playin' the part. That's why I used the simmer down line.

I admit there have been some rough times, but I think that Brave New World was really good and to me showed them getting back on track.
As I was borrowing pop's truck to move some equipment around I got stuck listening to the radio. Well, I was shocked when a local rock station started to play "Powerslave". The response of the people calling in were mixed, but it did have about 50% approval.

Not a fan of the song title these colors don't run, either. bah. If it sounds good, who cares.
"Shitty" Maiden is still better than a lot of stuff.

AMEN!!
So I heard a few songs, and I admit, it's not the best album, but it's still maiden. The way I personally see it: The went off track with Somewhere in time, and with Brave New World they were maiden again... Only highlight bewteen these two albums is the song Fear of the dark, and only the live version. The studioversion ain't that good.
And to piss most of you off: Di'anno was, is and always will be the best maiden singer!
Artwork rocks! Is it the original guy again?

Preach it!
Actually from the clips I heard this album isn't too bad at all, although I am not sure I myself will get a hold of it. I do still marvel that Dickinson's voice sounds better these days than circa Fear or No Prayer.

Yeah, so I totally forgot this album came out and didn't pick it up until a day or two ago. I've only listened to it once so far and that was in my car so I can't really say how it is. I would say middle of the road because I haven't been blown away by anything on it so far, but I haven't skipped any songs cause I thought they were shitty so who knows.
