What do I think of it? Eh.
One point of interest: Van Halen's "Cathedral". Unusual pick.

Also unusual to see UNSANE listed among those other songs, there are some good track but in my mind just as many or maybe more songs that I wouldn't really rate in my top 1000

Ha! This one looks a little out of place.

The songs that I enjoy may seem low class, but that's my style.
I don't rate songs based on their lyrics or musical quality. I just listen to whatever sounds good.
In other words, I pretty much just like noise, and I see no problem with liking noise.
Also, these are just my very top favorites. There's a lot more stuff that I enjoy.

"Cathedral" isn't noise at all. It's a rather unique, unusual, and quite beautiful guitar solo.

I doubt he understands the impression people would get when he says "I like noise." I don't mean to assume, I may be completely wrong, but I kinda doubt he knows who Merzbow is, or any of the artists who would fit into the Noise genre. But I may be wrong, maybe it just isn't his thing.

I've never heard of Merzbow. I didn't even know there was a Noise genre.
When I say I like noise, I mean noise in the general sense. I don't really pay much attention to lyrics or writing.
I don't have much money, and I'm also kind of lazy. The only music I really listen to is whatever comes my way.
Most of my list comes from either video games, CD's/LP's that my uncle gave/bought me, or the radio.
I found out about Cathedral from a Wikipedia article.
