Kazaa is SLOW. What's the fix? We downloaded KazzaLite last night and are having trouble. We paid for the "premium" software, which is supposed to include support, but we can't access it. As a matter of fact only 1/2 of the software installed. We keep getting an error message saying that another process is running. Download time stinks! 2 hours for one stinkin' song!!!!! We are on a new hp - dsl connection - quick processing time - what gives?

Anyone have this trouble and figure out how to fix it?

My sugestion is don't pay for premium software if you can get it for free. Kazaalite is better but if that doesn't work try a different p2p.

Sammo said it, you really should not pay for software like KaZaa. Get KaZaA-Lite.

Also note, I know might sound silly but many people do not understand, if you are on 56k do not think that the application will make you as fast as DSL or Cable or anything like that.

also, it depends on the modem speed of the person/people you're downloading from. you might be on DSL, but if you're downloading from someone with a 33.6k modem then it will still go slower.

I'd say get away from Kazaa completely. Go to www.download.com and look for P2P or even web-based servers (which have the potential to be uber-fast) and try out stuff until you find something you like.

Try Soulseek, that's also good, I don't like Kazaa either, even thgough I sue it sometimes...when all the other sources have been used

kazaa still the best, has the widest selection. winmx list a lot, but most can't be downloaded. but audiogalaxy was the best.............so sad.................bloody RIAA

I can't seem to download soulseek from ANYWHERE. I must say it doesn't look to professional either.

I've tried quite a few different downloaders, and my advice would be to go with Kazaalite. Much better selection and the layout is much more efficient than alot of other p2p's.
