anyone who listens to coltrane likely will be somehow influenced or at least inspired by his music.

I just received an email from the Naitional Public Radio liason and he loves my Coltrane documentary outline. But as I already knew, he said something very crucial: "One goal would be to create a program that was jazz-genre'd enough so that the many jazz stations in the U.S. might give it a spin - without being put off by the out-of-jazz content...and make it a program that eclectic music and talk stations might still be interested in".

This is a tough one... I obviously want as many people hearing this as possible but I don't want to sacrifice too much creative integrity to get it aired... Any suggestions in terms of the wording of how I should pitch this? Since you all are fans of multiple genre you are the exact people who would have an understanding of what would turn on or turn off a certain audience (such as certain taboo's not to be mentioned, etc.)...

I HATE having to deal with "The Man" (in this case individual station programmers), but I have to deal with it in order to get anything I produced aired... This is the one area I dread...
