'spine of god' is great but it suffers from the same plight as so many other early stoner rock albums. low production quality resulting in a muddy sound overall. just like 'blues for the red sun' by kyuss. great albums i just wish they had the production values from their later efforts. but i did hear a rumour that SoG was going to be re-released a while back, but that was before i heard dave wyndorf overdosed so i don't have any clue what's going on with MM for now.

and satchmo is right (as always). 'dopes to infinity' is the best disc monster magnet put out.

I trying looking for other album by Monster Magnet but Spine Of God was the only one that was being seeded . I got some God Lives Underwater though. The album you suggested I couldn't find but I got the album 'Empty' its not bad but, could be better imo.

Also I listened to RJD2 which I think is > DJ Shadow's Entroducing... but I may have to come back to the album to make sure :. I enjoyed Dead Ringer Zlatko a lot actually so thx for the recommendation.

Satchmo, only artist I could find on that list was the Melvins and I'm already familar with them. I like them but I need to be in a certain mood . Thanks for all the recommendations everyone. Satchmo, panbient, (e), zlatko.

'empty' was a lot more guitar based than 'life in the so called space age' almost to the point of sounding like the industrial metal lite that started getting popular in the late 90s. 'life...' is a lot more synth based and similar to the UNKLE sound (at least on the first U disc).

what are you using to get tunes S-C?

yeah. i'm not so keen on getting tunes from torrents, if you don't want a full discography or the latest releases they don't seem to offer much. i dig on soulseek whenever the network in my apt allows me to d/l.

Oh but some well known bands/artists you can discographys so easy. Like Aphex Twin, Nirvana, AIC, Pearl Jam, Beck, QOTSA, Radiohead, NIN, even Kyuss. Some are harder to come by though.

Well I got Muse's - Black Holes and Revelations (I think thats the title) already from a torrent. It had so many seeders/leechers that it was dled in like 10 minutes.

thing is i actually own most of those, so having to download a few gigs just to fill in a couple of gaps is annoying to me.

Well I see what you mean but I usually put everything on my mp3 player then delete it on my comp. I can transfer music from my mp3 player back to my comp so theres no reaosn to have same music on both things.

There is if you lose your albums/mp3 player/your computer malfunctions! I'm a bit worried about that so I've backed all my music up.
