Muse - Absolution would have to be my favorite album of the 21st century. Almost perfect.

Look at the second to last band named, right above Pearl Jam.

Its tight between Nick Cave and Muse.

its scary how hard it is for me to think of a few good albums! does Essential Leonard Cohen count? :P

i think there are a couple of good ones though: Coldplay dont always get a mention, but i do think one day they will be remembered for the 1st decade of the new millenium.

Others include ummm.... should we give this to Metallica - St Anger? i think not.

The Streets also deserve consideration.

Can't say I've listened to all of those bands, but from what I've heard, in my opinion, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists are the best band active today.

Personal opinion, of course, and I freely admit that most of the other acts on that list have had more commercial/artistic/whatever impact, but if I had to choose only one of those bands to listen to for the rest of my life, it'd be Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.

Time Out Of Mind was 1997. I love Bob (obviously-see my avtar), but one good studio release for the 2000's won't warrant my vote.
