My family and friends in Michigan always thought I had "weird" taste in music the whole time I lived there, which was pretty laughable then. They'd never be able to handle it now, and I am actually more or less middle of the pack. In the time I have been out of the Midwest, my growth has been exponential.

Of course, they DO know who Alice in Chains was

this is generally how i am. basically i aim low and shoot lower, i don't look down on people who listen to mtv tunes (i see them the same as any other stranger) but if i happen to talk to someone who listens to similar stuff i'll generally have higher regard for them starting then.

I've got a brilliant idea. We should have a rating system on the maturity of people's taste of music. We should all figure out a system to where we could calculate a certain number for each band, judging by what we all think they should be ranked. And, of course, if some band is overrated by us due to any musical immaturity that might exist in us, we should have threads set aside so people can educate us on those matters. To give an example, Wayne to Jari is doing a stellar job, I must say, of pointing out our immaturity about Led Zeppelin. Hell, I didn't even notice how immature I was in that respect until he showed me.

Very well, then. We shall give a rating to each band. Let everyone list their top 15 or so bands , and then that will show their average. We'll make the point system between 1 and 10 points. Nah, that's not descriptive enough. Between 1 and 100 points. That's better. Then, finally, we'll know beyond a shadow of a doubt whose musical taste is mature and whose isn't. It won't even require guesswork any more. Isn't this Great?!!

So let's get busy. Soon we will know once and for all who the Radio Mute Idol is.

That was fun, even though I'm late to lunch now.

Really, though, if you didn't get a laugh out of that, you missed my point entirely and are taking yourself way too seriously.

i'm talking about the way you've making snide indirect attacks on wayne to jari and seerix from the zeppelin thread. it's lame. you're stretching it across a separate thread now and still poking at it. don't make me clean your shit out of the LZ thread (you'll be autobanned for two weeks).
