I don't get these 90's bands that have been dead for ten years and suddenly think they can return triumphantly. For the most part, everyone has had their fill of of both Alice In Chains and Smashing Pumpkins. They should leave their legacy to rest instead of possibly diminishing it like Jane's Addiction did when they came back.

I can understand these people wanting to go back for another try. It would be hard to just turn your back on those catalogs. You can't just turn off being a musician, and maybe this is the only way they can get what they need ($). Still, it's to bad they keep limiting themselves within the confines of their old bands. Jeez, branch out a little why don't ya.

i just hope thayil and shepherd have the sense to scuttle any idea of a soundgarden reunion tour. i could see cornell going for it, maybe cameron going along for the ride too once PJ calls it a day, but not the other two.

Here's a novel idea:

Why dont we wait for the albums to come out (if they ever do!!), listen too them and THEN make up our minds about the music!!
Who knows it might even be worth listening to...

That's fine and dandy....and I will give it a listen, but I won't be expecting much if anything. History has shown over and over again, the vast majority of the time, these type of things make you wish they never released anything again.
