I totally like Maestro. And I'm about to get the other albums too. They're great.

In the end, what we have are these little, great moments. They come and they go. That's as good as it gets. But, still, isn't that great?

Heh, funny. Now I also have Evig Pint. As I just discovered the band, Maestro is the only album I've heard so far.
Which one of their albums you like the most?

The first one definitely. At first I didn't like the other two that much, but they've really grown on me and now I like them all nearly as much, but the first one is the still my favourite, probably because it's the most gypsy-ish, Tom Waits-like. Too bad the chance is pretty small that they'll play "På Ditt Skift" live as they usually don't have a piano with them... Great song, that one.

Yeah twice. One time on their first tour in these regions I believe, in a small youth house, I barely knew them, but they were superb! Banging on iron barrels, great songs, etc. etc. And then a few months ago in a semi big hall. They've grown a lot in the entertaining the audience thing, although it was a bit too much, I thought. I don't go to a concert to singalong with songs, but to listen to them. But anyway, it proves that they could make a big impression at Rock Werchter.
As for Waits, he's done quite different stuff, like up until Swordfishtrombones he did rather jazzy balladeer stuff. Small Change is my favourite record of that time. Swordfishtrombones was then more experimental, but together with Rain Dogs, which is a little bit more accessible, it's one of the best records of the eighties. Bone Machine, Mule Variations, Real Gone and his debut Closing Times are also possible starting points. For you, I guess Rain Dogs might be a good one, it's in his jingle jangle style, but at the same time the melodies are really catchy. Certainly the first half of the record is just brilliant.

Used Songs, even though you're not talking to me. Someone was bound to recommend Swordfish Trombones but you should stay away from that phoney bologna.
