Think my favourite Kaizers Album must be Død mans tango. Even though its not an album really, its an EP (or single?). Anyway, i listen to all their records, except Mann mot mann. For some reason i cant like that song.
Wish to see them live som time :/

I don't go to a concert to singalong with songs, but to listen to them. But anyway, it proves that they could make a big impression at Rock Werchter.
As for Waits, he's done quite different stuff, like up until Swordfishtrombones he did rather jazzy balladeer stuff. Small Change is my favourite record of that time. Swordfishtrombones was then more experimental, but together with Rain Dogs, which is a little bit more accessible, it's one of the best records of the eighties. Bone Machine, Mule Variations, Real Gone and his debut Closing Times are also possible starting points. For you, I guess Rain Dogs might be a good one, it's in his jingle jangle style, but at the same time the melodies are really catchy. Certainly the first half of the record is just brilliant.

Thanks, orph. I'm going to give Rain Dogs a try.
But back to Kaizers again... I really like Evig Pint too, a truly great record. Also, apparently my six years of swedish language studies haven't been a waste of time. Since Norwegian and Swedish are very much alike, I can almost understand what they're singing.
I still haven't got to hear their debut but I will eventually. I really think that I've found something spectacular. I'm goin to keep listening.

In the end, what we have are these little, great moments. They come and they go. That's as good as it gets. But, still, isn't that great?

well Vegas made me think of Las Vegas, so I wasn't quite sure if it was the same (although I don't believe that the Kaizers have made it to the states yet)

Finally checked them out mostly based on this thread. This sounds like something I'll have to listen to more before I get it.
