Dinosaur Jr. : Greatest Garage Band Ever

Your thoughts on J. Mascis and crew.

Personally I think that You're Living All Over Me and Green Mind are two of the greatest rock albums ever made. And J. Mascis's solo on "Thumb" is probably the best guitar solo known to man. Ya dig?

Oh I'm digging you on that Thumb comment.

So do you consider Green Mind better than the first one and Bug?

Anyway, YLAOM is just one of the greatest records ever. Words aren't enough. That album just never gets old. It hasn't faded a bit.

crazy enough I didn't like You're Living Me All Over nor Bug, when I tried them out some time ago. might have to listen to them again, as everyone says they're their best. I do like Where You Been though.

Actually the critics consider Green Mind to be their best. I always liked Bug...."liked". But YLAOM is a 5 star album, in my book. The messiest, poorest quality 5 star album ever, for that matter, but a masterpiece nonetheless. I might give Bug 3 stars.

Yes, I do. By a longshot. For years it was my favorite. Only recently did I put YLAOM above it. Check out "Flying Cloud" if that kind of music is your cup of tea. I love that song.

Never cared for Dinosaur Jr. Don't know why. Just one of those things where it doesn't touch me in any way, shape or form. Will give them another try soon. I find sometimes I change my mind about bands upon the 50th listen or so.
