Hey, I got a problem: when I play a Metallica song and I'm palmmuting while playing the E-string, my pick keeps hitting the middle pick-up of my guitar (I have a stratocaster). Is this something that's going to keep happening until I get a new guitar, or should I just learn to avoid it?

i palm mute alot when i paly and i have the same problem when i paly a three pickup guitar, wht i try to do it jsut stretch my hand otu a little more and pick infront of the middle pickup, btu this gets verry uncomfortable after verry logn at all, which is why my primary guitar ias a two pickup jag-stang
