i've seen two meanings / pronunciations for 'd'yer maker' one is a really slurred version of jamaica hence the raggae feel of the song. the other is 'did ya make her', which makes a hell of a lot more sense for led zep.
as for albums IV is my pick. when the levee breaks owns.

I always thought D'yer Maker means Deny Your Maker for some reason. Maybe that's a bit of paranoia from due to all their black magic, satan shit. Who knows? Anyhoo, here's a list of my favorites from each album.
I - Dazed and Confused
II - Ramble On
III - That's the Way
IV - Going To California
HOTH - Over the Hills and Far Away
Physical Graffiti - Ten Years Gone
Presence - Achilles Last Stand (by a thousand miles)
ITTOD - All My Love
Coda - Darlene J/K Wearing and Tearing, I guess(I don't really care about this one)

It's a close tie between 3 and PG, but in the end, I think I like PG more.

I'd have to go with IV. One of two albums that I classify as being "perfect"

I must say that I'm glad LZ II didn't get any votes. I believe it's their most overrated album by far. I dig it for sure, but I put I, III, IV, HOTH, and PG above it. But "Ramble On" is heavenly.

The solo on Heartbreaker alone makes it impossible to overrate.

I'm going with Led Zeppelin I, same reason as TheZola (although I like Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti). Disagree with Led Zeppelin II being overrated. I rarely put their albums on, though, I sort of went into overkill with them a year or so ago, and I hear their best songs enough on the radio (what's always in the car, since most of the time mom doesn't like whatever CD I bring, for different reasons depending on the CD; my license test (WATCH OUT!) is on the 23rd, so soon the CDs will be in full rotation ).
