Pearl Jam

i haven't heard that much talk about pearl jams latest album i think it is a album worth mentioning here. i never really listened to pearl jam that much but of wat i've heard of this album it's kind of good. i like the amazing vocals and guitar playing but it's nothing special but they have a good generic sound that i like and don't mind listening to. please share your thoughts on pearl jams new album pearl jam.

Well this has been my first post in a very long time and I'm glad I'm responding to this thread. I've been a PJ fan since 2001 (yes I know I was a decade late, only because I was 13!). Anyway, to tell you the truth I hated Riot Act except 'Love Boat Captain'. Yet, I still can't remember a good album after No Code/Yield. So, to me this is the return of Pearl Jam. Something Vedder hasn't done in a long time is really let out his frustration out and let McCready/Gossard jam out. You hear Vedder truely buckle out in this album. I really loved this album (it took a few listens to enjoy it to the utmost capacity) but, it's great and I loved it. B+ Grade!

Indifference = the best song they ever wrote, hands down

wow. not only is "Love Boat Captain" easily the worst song on Riot Act its one of the very worst songs theyve ever written.

the new album is great- one of their best. Riot Act was alright, but it was kind of a drag at times and it was probably their weakest since Ten (for entirely different reasons). in my mind Pearl Jam doesnt really hav a "bad" album- Ten being the closest thing to it, but its buoyed somewhat becos of its significance in modern rock history- but iwould say that this new album does represent a true return to form for the band. id put it amongst their top3 along with Vitalogy and No Code.

Nope, I loved Ten. By far my favorite with the likes of Release me, Garden, Black, Even Flow, Jeremy...
I agree with the rest though.

If you take the best 5 songs off each album, and make one big playlist, Pearl Jam is the best. They are an unbelievably kewl band, just a pity they mix those kewl songs with a couple of dodgy songs. I think thats why alot of people cant get into them.

As I remember it, that was a solo Eddie Vedder song, and wasn't officially Pearl Jam. Not sure, though.
