Audioslave is one of my favorite bands and i saw a video of Bo Bice singing Doesn't remind me and making me hate the song he even has the audioslaves music video playing in the background is anyone as upset about this as me a great song being sung by Bo Bice?

No. I think cover tunes are an integral part of music as a whole. Jazz standards, tribute bands, playing Iron Man in your friend’s garage, and just general re-interpretation of a song can show you how great it really is. If the song can stand up on it's own without the original people behind it gives props to the song and those that wrote it.

finding out that bo bice is covering audioslave doesn't really shock me at all considering how bland and formulaic they are. i still remembering hearing the original rumours about cornell hooking up with the guys from rage and morello making comments (i think at the 2001 mtv awards) saying how jamming with cornell was so great and they were making some of the most exciting rock music he'd ever been part of....

then i heard their music and died a little on the inside.

and mpittman is totally on the money with that comment about covers.
