where to start

hey ive just started listening to psycodelic music and want to know what are some good bands and artists that i should listen to. I like this genre but find to hard to find songs. plz post a list of must listen to psycedelic bands. ty

I think everything is pretty much covered in the threads and resources that have been mentioned. One thing I've learned in recent years is that there's a whole lot of 60s psychedelic music out there--much more than I ever thought (and I've been a very big 60s psych fan for a very long time--Sgt. Pepper was what Santa brought me in Christmas of '67).

It truly is amazing how much in the genre was recorded in a relatively short period of time... Most of it being virtually unknown by even big fans of classic rock...

I discover new stuff all the time...
