They used Nouvelle Vague's cover of Tuxedomoon's "In a Manner of Speaking" in a Belgian commercial recently. That's a rather nice song, perhaps because I don't know the original.

First thing that came to mind. If I remember right, The Weight and Satisfaction have also been used in commercials. There's the classic Cadillac commercial with Zeppelin's Rock and Roll (which, with they're extremely conservative view on giving rights away these days, you can tell they're just so happy about ).

hmmmm was a bit annoyed when Jose Gonzalez started popping up in adverts and soundtracks all the time went to see him in a tiny hall in London just over a year ago with about t100 people and was such a good gig now everyone knows about him i won't be able to see him like that again ..does that make me selfish...properly

don't know who it is but quite like that song on the T-mobile advert anyone know who it is?

I do wish they hadn't butchered the Nerves' "Hanging On The Telephone" so badly in some stupid sappy cell phone commercial that ran over the winter. That's also my favorite Blondie song, and the rendition used was vomit-inducing.

The U.S. Navy and Air Force use Godsmack in their commercials, they all turned out really cool.
Listened to D4L with Hoe Sit Down
