none of the guitars listed really pique my interest.
a real deal '59 les paul would be incredibly sweet though. i also wouldn't mind a vintage fender jaguar or jazzmaster. never liked teles myself.
and TONY Iommi uses a gibson SG not the cheap epiphone knock off. epiphone might have gotten the rights to stick his name on one of their models but all those sabbath riffs are most definitely coming from a gibson. while epiphone is a subsidiary of gibson don't fool yourself into believing they're interchangable.

I know Iommi uses SG, why is'nt there any Iommi's signature on SG? or is there any?

i think the reason it's with epiphone is that it will appeal to more of his fans. it's all the same company but the epiphones are geared more towards the intermediate players. i don't know many sabbath fans who could pay a few grand for a custom gibson but i know more than a few who would pay close to a thousand for a custom epiphone.

I tried a late 50's Les Paul Goldtop and it was the most awesome guitar I ever laid my mitts on...I never got to hear it plugged in but wow...it felt fantastic as I played a few scales and blah blah on it...great guitar...
I was actually going to get a 'reissue' of a similar guitar last November but some things about the 'upper end' models ticked me off a bit...file marks on the fingerboard binding and whatnot...anyway, I ended up getting a Les Paul Studio instead which felt a little better and looked great. With the money that I wasn't spending on the 'fancier' guitar I bought a Traynor tube amp...very ass kicky...
I love those old Les Pauls...

i ahve to say that form the list ide take the tele, but I already have my dream guitar, a 95' fiesta red fender jag-stang with a seymour duncan jb at the bridge and a fender texas special single coil in the neck position, it's perfect for my ska band, btu i can fool with it a litle but adn get whatever punk or alternative sounds i want from it.

Those Seymour Duncan JB pickups are nice...I am sure that the stock bridge pickup in my Deluxe is that model but not sure about the bridge pickups in the other Pacers that I have...very versatile...

Yeah, they look cool and sound great. I've seen a few in conert. Adrian Belew and Bon Lazaga are both known to play them.
