I'm a student who currently work with a thesis about how music can be expressed. Since I am a last.fm user I know where to find the best music nerds..

So, I need some help to find out how people express their music outside of last.fm. How do you communicate your love for music to other people? I would be happy if you could send me some photos of your way of expressing that you are into music.

Examples of photos can be:

- What does your computer wallpaper look like?
- music collectables
- what type of shoes do you wear?
- do you have any artist t-shirts?
- do you wear any speciall clothes to state your love for music?
- what does your hair look like or do you have any other stuff on your head for example a beanie or a hat?
- what do you have hanging with your keys?

I've pretty much given up trying to "express music", because I know noone will like the music I like on first listen.

i'd rather post the pics / write a few lines in this thread if i knew you'd be back to check them.

I express my like for music by saying "I like this artist," or "I like this song." Expressing like for music (or anything) is not enough, one must also express dislike; therefore, "I hate this artist," or "I hate this song."

No one outside of my girlfriend and my brother knows much about my musical tastes.

I don't do last.fm. How do I communicate my thoughts, on music I like? The old school way.

I used to graffiti my old school with names of bands i like? Does that count?
