Turntable music.

Hey all!

I was just wondering if anyone knew any good turntable music. I've been getting into it lately and yesterday I walked into a bar where that was all that they played. It was a really cool place!

Anyway, any suggestions?

What I mean by turntable music: Where turntables are used to mix and scratch. An example would be Scratch Pertverts although not so much scratching and more beat is better!

My friend owns turntables and we mess around on them alot. He buys hip-hop mixes or rock-remakes with techno sound compiled. What else would you use? I'm not all into it, so I don't know.

Thanks grandpa! I'll check them out!

Love your name by the way!

@ Evil - Sounds pretty cool. I'll keep my eye out for it.

@ August - Start your own thread if you want to talk about that. This is for talking about songs, not set ups.

Ok...the stuff you guys gave me was pretty cool but I was thinking more along the lines of hip-hop music without the words. The songs you gave me (well most of them) seemed to be just scratching and very little beats and tunes.

So anyone got anny suggestions? Kind of more like Katalyst if possible.

you are right, most turntable music is basically scratching.

but check out DJ Krush's Meiso, it has minimal scratching, some instrumental hip hop tracks and some tracks with some MCs rapping on them. I think that's the best album from him. oh, the track Duality has DJ Shadow in it, the best track on the album.

hmm, did you hear dr. octagon (kool keith alias). if you like with rappin' then try "dr. octagonocologyst" (great album). if you like more just a production then "the instrumentalyst: octagon beats".
