Neither, really. It is more a growling style similar to bands like Crowbar except even less understandable.

I have also voted Dopethrone. I must admit that I haven't listened to We Live (2004) yet, but I can't imagine it being better.
-- yeah, the vocals are like extended low growls that sort of act as an instrument, rather than a voice that is meant to be understood. I think it fits the style very well.
