I really need to check these guys out. I've heard Panada Bear and like his stuff so I don't know what I'm waiting for.

I really can't see how you don't like the new songs when the last two albums made your top of the year lists. We'll see what you have to say when the album comes out...

I really enjoyed both Feels and Sung Tongs, but Noah's Person Pitch is definitely my favorite thing to come away from that band. I'd like to see him have a little more influence on Animal Collective's new stuff.
Listened to Panda Bear with Bros

In the review from Pitchfork (which got a very high 9.4 out of 10 rating): http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/articl...6-person-pitch

They seem to feel that electronic music is the biggest influence to Person Pitch (citing the booklet that comes with the album and how he names four DJs as the biggest influences). You wouldn't think this right away, but it does make some sense due to the use of repetition serving as a big part of the songwriting; its what he chose to use as samples that makes this so interesting.

I don't know if it will have much impact on Animal Collective. I am fairly new to Animal Collective so I'm not sure how the creative process goes, But judging from what I do know I think Panda Bear will serve as an interesting side project and Animal Collective won't change much.

Actually the band right now is playing songs that are beleived to be for a new cd (a cd set to be recorded after the tour and not to be confused with the cd set to be released in september). The band is only using samplers and drums on these new new songs so I think the band is moving towards panda bears methods. In fact the band is playing at least one former panda bear song live and maybe more. The more I listen to this band the more i like it!

Sorry, I missed this before. I would think it would have been obvious to the Grasshoppa. The last two records were good and these songs are not.
