So it's safe to say that no one else here will be buying the new release before they've heard any of the tracks?

Well, in my case, it is safe to say I probably won't even hear any of the tracks.

Definitly safe to say I won't be buying the album. I haven't heard too much of the new stuff, though I would like to, and I do like "By the Way" hehe. I'm gonna say "Scare Tissue" and "Soul To Squeeze." However, A few listed here I've never heard, so in a week or so my mind may change.
Listened to Rick West with Live At The AMP

It was bad enough trying to condense 18 of their songs into a Mix CD for my friend, let alone trying to pick one song... Right now I'd say Throw Away Your Television. I just like it at the moment.

And I didn't know they existed until Californication came out. I was only a wee boy of 10, though, and only starting to get into music. I think Californication was my first proper CD (excluding comedy/novelty songs like the England Theme Tune for World Cup/European Championship). But yeah, I now have all of their albums from Mothers Milk onwards. I bought What Hits?! in order to get all of the best old tracks instead. I don't know why I have the recent Greatest Hits, actually. It only had like two new songs on. New album in a couple of months which is going to be cool, and then I'm gunna see them at Earls Court in July for the first time which is exciting. I can't wait!

But yeah... Throw Away Your Television for me at the moment. Scar Tissue is probably their best song, though.

"I Could Have Lied" and "Breaking the Girl" were both my favorite Chili Peppers song until One Hot Minute came out. Of course, Frusciante fits the Chili Peppers better than any other guitarist they ever had and One Hot Minute sux for the most part. But, I'm sorry, "Warped" is the most powerful song they ever wrote. Takes my breath away, it does. Reminds me of Navarro shaking the earth with his guitarwork on "Three Days."

Probably the most overrated band of all time. Perhaps the ONLY song of theirs I like is Party On Your Pussy.

i'm assuming you mean 'the special secret song inside' from the uplift mofo party plan. the chili peppers don't actually have a song called party on your pussy.
