It's funny when you read through old threads thinking they're new...
Anyway, I remember hearing about Muslimgauze about two years ago, loved the name and became fascinated. Then I read some stuff and found him to be a bit misguided (but who isn't) and his stuff I downloaded sounded not bad, just kinda generic, so became less fascinated overall. I forget the names but I think I lost them anyway.
It's sad he died, but I haven't heard anyone refer to him as an influence, and as far as being ahead of his time I'd maybe have to hear his
really early stuff because the stuff I heard was from the mid '90s apparently.
Enigmatic, nonetheless...
