If you pick up the latest copy of the NME ... I think there's two sentences about bands who don't use guitars at all. Still its a contemporary music magazine and guitar rock does dominate contemporary music.

Maybe I have been out of the loop a bit too long but who are the Artic Monkeys?

Anyway there is a lot missing from that list. I am suprised there is not more really recent stuff there. Most top lists contain 90% groups from the last 5 years.

Artic Monkeys are the most hyped band since...... well as long as I can remember

They have a good single... but nothing fantastic. the rest is shite.

Yeah, except Franz Ferdinand has talent, and Bloc Party is good on occassion. Artic Monkeys are just pure hype

You gotta be kidding me?!?! Who the hell made that up? I mean The Arctic Monkeys are good but their album's been out for, what, two weeks? Its way too indie dominated. Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, Muse and The Beatles should be higher than their positions in that list and there are some glaring exceptions. Where is Who's Next by The Who, Sound Affects by The Jam and ANYTHING by Pink Floyd?!?! Man, thats just annoying...
