the night before i heard, i caught a bit of "only the strong survive", a documentary about some soul legends. the clip was mister wicked pickett relaying a few quick, hilarious anecdotes. amidst laughter, he abruptly told the film crew "i'm done"...

the next day i wake up and read his obit...
