You're actually asking if Satchmo is sure, about something?

It should also be pointed out, that Mozart didn't finish all of it, before his death. Franz Xaver Süssmayr the remaining portion, which also happen to the weakest portion.

That set I have coming in the mail from yourmusic.com, along with The Shape of Jazz To Come. I wasn't willing to save up the dough for the big set, I've only seen it at $250+ and since it had little (to my knowledge) material that wasn't available elsewhere, I figured I'd just get the music it contains gradually through other CDs. Plus, on other CD's, I figure it'd be easier to sort the music into different time periods/bands/etc., unless you were to burn discs off of the big set.

Ummm it's 24 cds, which have all been remastered. There is a great deal, that has not been reissued, since the bos. Those limited releases, that have been released since. use the same remastering.
Same thing, could be said about the Ornette Coleman Atlantic recordings
As always, this all depends on financial ability.

Yeah, and although I was under the impression that the material was available elswhere, the high price probably would've closed the deal anyway.

If I find it at a really good price, I could probably sell what I have (I'd actually make money, I'm sure I could sell anything I bought at yourmusic.com at a higher price at Amoeba or Rasputin's) and get the set.
Considering, after looking through a few of the usual sites, I can't find it for under $600, that's not too likely.
