Funny, I was just playing a Bossa Nova and trying, with a little help, to put "The Girl from Ipanema" in there. Didn't work it out yet, but will try later.

From yourmusic.com. Don't know why I never got to buying this (I used to have it on my computer, so I've heard it several times before), I guess I just never got around to it. Anyway, excellent album, as I'm sure no one present needs to be told.

"endless miles: a tribute to miles davis"

okay, check this producing trifecta: michael cuscuna, phil ramone, and bob belden. featuring prominently one of my favorite duos, george coleman and harold mabern. additional line-up ? don alias, geri allen, bob berg, randy brecker, mino cinelu, jimmy cobb, foley, al foster, adam holzman, robert irving iii, dave liebman, gary peacock, antoine and wallace roney, lenny white, and buster williams. all recorded live at birdland on miles birthday '98. way better than i normally expect for the n2k encoded music label...

j-f-h, since you ask (i usually don't really like listing, in that i think it sounds egotistical and narcissitic), when i referred to the pretty voicings i was referring to the piano part(s) in the show. in that context, i also play guitar and croak harmony. my academic background at the university level was cello and percussion with actual major in theory and composition. all those things i currently teach and perform, along with traps, violin, bass, mandolin, and dobro. i have played professionally since i was fifteen and i'm still trying to get good. every day to the week. i used to be the top volume teacher at a large big box learning center, but since they (thankfully) imploded, i've been at my home studio with a full schedule and waiting list. it's a great way to make a decent living...

thanx for asking...

You're welcome, you certainly play an impressive variety of instruments.

Thank you. I did get it from the Zappa CD, although I don't like the actual album that much. Just a big fan of the name.
