1. I know, which there is the comment.

2. You're more than weird, and anyways it works with that Gordon record.

Interesting coincidence, those (Go! and Dizzy at Newport) were two of the first jazz records I ever heard (streamed on Rhapsody). They're each the first I ever heard by the respective leaders, and I may have even listened to them on the same evening. That was about a year and a half ago. Just an irrelevant piece of jazzfromhell history.

P.S. Fantastic albums, by the way.

#1

Mats Gustafsson - tenor, fluteophone, flute
Peter Janson - bass
Kjell Nordeson - drums
Ken Vandermark - tenor, clarinet, bass clarinet

#2

Mats Gustafsson - alto & saxophone
Peter Janson - bass
Kjell Nordeson - drums
Ken Vandermark - tenor & clarinet

On tour it's just the AALY Trio, but on the recordings they add Vandermark, who I think is best as a sideman than leader.

They have the best cover of Charlie Haden's Song for Che, you will hear on the first one. The second one has a hell of a cover of Albert Ayler's Ghosts.

Two of the best releases of the 90's. Both are live recordings. I missed the first, but was at the second.

Industrial strength
