I so almost bought Book of Horizons today, wholly because I enjoy Trey Spruance, but I instead went with a Sleeytime Gorilla Museum cd, to give them a whirl.

Anyway, recent concerts...uhhh, I saw Buckethead for the 2nd time, in Oct. 2005, in Atlanta. Tons of fun. Licks were ripping my face off left and right. I've got pictures too, if anyone wants to see any.

Why don't you reach down in my pocket and see what it is
Then grab onto it, it's just for you
Give a little squeeze and say, "How do you do?"
There's something in my front pocket, There's something in my front pocket,
There's something in my front pocket

I saw Bauhaus last night and they were really good! The opener was "Burning from the Inside", usually not one of my favourites, but live it worked very well, with Murphy standing on some pedestal "moving" theatrically... His voice sounded great, except maybe in the second song, "In the Flat Field", he wasn't really warmed up by then, I guess... I wonder if he's really still the sex symbol too, as he's getting a bit bald at the back of his head! Daniel Ash has a rubbish dress sense it seemed... A sleeveless fur (hopefully fake!) coat, dark sun glasses and a ridiculous pony tail aren't very classy, methinks! They played very well though, Haskins steady drumming and J's nearly funky bass were the perfect backing for the strange sounds Ash sometimes got out of his guitar. And Murphy, walked around them, sometimes going in circles, carrying roses, and wearing an impressive vampirish coat for the final song "Bela Lugosi's Dead"... Highlights were for me "Dark Entries", "She's in Parties" and "Telegram Sam"... "The Sanity Assassin" and "Double Dare" would have made the list too probably, if they'd played them The covers of "Ziggy Stardust" (much better than on cd) and "Transmission" were cool too...

Sounds similar to when I saw them, glad you enoyed it .

As for me, I am experiencing my first metal concert hangover, saw Nile and Soilent Green last night.

I saw NIN a few days ago. Very good. Moving Units was the opening band - they were OK but nothing special. NIN put on a great show as usual. The played a little over 2 hours which was nice and they did pretty much every song I wanted them to play. In a few weeks: Opeth.

I saw Controller.Controller twice within this year, but they are the most well known band from out of Halifax that plays all-age, somewhat small venues. Also saw Wintersleep but I don't think they're too well known outside of Nova Scotia let alone Canada as a whole
