Well, thanks to RM I have been able to broaden my musical tastes and discover lots of new artists. I usually browse this forum and search for some interesting names. When I find one I check it out at the allmusic.com and see if it's something I would like.
Then I usually download some songs by using torrents or from DC++. If I really like the music I might even go to a record store some day and buy it.

I've been doing the Pandora thing like crazy these days. It's hooked me up with many a-cool tune/band that I knew very little/nothing about.

Besides the obvious ways (friends, media, ect), I tend to find new music for myself through allmusic.com. I'll search by genre or find a band I like and look at the similiar artists they have listed.

I snap artists names and songs from internet.
I hear it on radio's and TV
I just download random stuff and listen to it.
