ABBA had 9 number one singles in Great Britain and sold 250 million records.

Shania Twain is the biggest selling female artist of all time. She has had 3 consecutive albums to surpass the 10 million mark, the only artist to ever do that. Come On Over sold 34 million worldwide.

Chart position, sales, etc. don't mean shit unless all you care about is business. And, for the record, while we're talking numbers, 100,000,000 Bon Jovi fans can be wrong.

Ok, I am just going to have to break the boycott in this instance, because this is just not even close to being accurate.

Shania Twain isn't even the biggest selling Canadian female artist, that would be Céline Dion.

Twain has around 80 to 85 million in worldwide sales. That's barely 29-34% of Madonna's worldwide sales, of 250 to 275 million. She has around 50% of the sales of Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Céline Dion.

That's without even bringing up Nana Mouskouri and Alla Pugacheva, who each claim, to have Madonna like worldwide sales, of anywhere from 200 to 300 million.

One last point, that this shows. Large sales figures, do not equate to talent. Madonnna, Britney Spears, Shania Twain, and a great many others, show that on a yearly basis.

Wrong, Bon Jovi sold over 10 million worldwide with Slippery, New Jersey AND Keep the faith EACH. AND Crossroads, too. Make that 4 consecutive albums.

But he never said that "biggest selling" meant number of albums sold or money made... did he?

Not directly, but he presented it in a way that implied it. Anyway, big-sellers aren't neccessarily bad. They must mean SOMETHING to SOMEONE. How many sh1tty pop albums are thrown onto the market every month that nobody ever gets to hear of?
