I am a big fan of you and your work with this website. You are of great help for all us parents trying to keep our children from becoming drug-addicts and murderers. I constantly visit in order to keep updated on what my son can listen to, and what he cant, and I was under the impression that i had everything under control, but i guess i didn't.
This last summer, i caught him listening to something he refered to as "punk music". A band called "Good Charlotte" was turning my son into something i hadn't raised him up to be. He started painting his fingernails black, like a girl, and it didnt take long until he refused to get his hair cut. I took him to Supercuts, as i've always done once a month for the last 10 years, but he refused, claiming it wasnt "punk-rock" to have short hair. I was shocked, to say the least.
One day when he was at school, i got into his room and removed all of his cd's and posters, and removed the play button off of his cd-player, so that he couldnt listen to this un-christian music.
Me and his father thought this would make things better, but we were wrong. One week later, he came home with a portable cd-player, he had picked up at the local pawn-shop. That wasnt the worst thing though. He had also recieved a cd as a gift from a "friend" of his, called... oh lord, im having trouble even writing this... it was called "Freaks, faggots, drunks and junkies"!! by an artist named GG-Allin. It contained such songs as "Be my fucking whore", "Suck my ass it smells", "Commit suicide", "Cunt sucking cannibal" and "I wanna kill you". And these are just some of the songs on that cd.
We tried to take the cd away from him, but he locked himself in his room and when Lance, his father, tried to get in, our son started urinating through the key-hole and screaming profanities. We simply didnt know what to do, and now our son wont talk to us. He's not even taking showers or combing his hair anymore.
We need help with this situation. I dont want to lose my son, and im sure you have some answers on what to do about this.
